ABOUT CRIMINAL AND TRAFFIC CHARGES
If you or a family member needs assistance with a criminal or traffic case, we will be glad to consider your case to see if we can help.
Our law office is a professional corporation specializing in handling accident, injury and disability cases. We also handle criminal and traffic cases. We have several lawyers and a number of highly trained staff and legal assistants.
We find that our clients often ask the following important questions:
Do you regularly handle criminal and traffic cases?
Yes, we do. Our firm handles both criminal and traffic cases in all the Courts of the Greater Richmond Area and surrounding counties. We appear in criminal and traffic court on a daily basis and handle all levels of traffic cases from the simple speeding ticket to driving under the influence or habitual offender charges. We handle all types of criminal matters, including misdemeanors and felonies.
When do I need an attorney?
You or your family member needs to speak with an attorney if you are charged with any criminal offense, whether it is a misdemeanor or a felony. Any criminal conviction will stay on your criminal record permanently. There is no provision for expungement. If you are charged with a traffic offense, you should at least speak with an attorney about how to achieve the best possible result and to avoid an increase in your insurance rates.
How do you charge for your services?
Our fees for services are determined on a case by case basis. As every factual situation is different, it depends on the charges brought against you, whether criminal or traffic. It also depends on the potential punishment that you could be subject to due to those charges. Your prior record is critical in determining what the potential punishment is for either a traffic or criminal case.
What is the likely outcome of my case?
Frequently, when people come in for an initial consultation on a criminal or traffic case, they ask us what the outcome of the case will be. Our experience in this area allows us to assist you in facing these charges and does allow us to tell you what the possible outcomes are during that consultation. However, we cannot guarantee what the outcome will be because ultimately it is the judge or the jury that tries your cases and who determines what the ultimate result will be. Our job is to represent you to the best of our abilities in every case we handle. Please contact us if you think we might be able to be of service to you. We will speak to you at no charge in the initial consultation and tell you whether or not your case if one that requires the assistance of an attorney and whether we can help.
